More and more companies are recognizing the value that providing service opportunities to employees brings to the company, the employees themselves and, of course, their communities. Employee volunteerism is no longer an afterthought, or a nice gesture. Research shows that employee volunteerism has many advantages including: Improves corporate image and relations with stakeholders through giving back at local and national levels. Develops and enhances employees’ professional and leadership skills. Supports business functions, most often in the areas of human resources and external relations.
Share the Magic Foundation works with companies to provide their employees with a planned and managed volunteer program that addresses the social impacts caused by book deserts and low literacy rates in underserved communities. Corporate engagement opportunities are available with our In-School Programs, Virtual Reading Challenges and Community Partner Programs where we have ignited a love for reading in thousands of kids. Our goal is to give every child around the globe an opportunity to read, so that they may have richer, more robust lives.
