Beth Pann: Executive Director, Share the Magic Foundation
Beth Pann currently serves as Executive Director of Share the Magic Foundation. With nearly 25 years in the nonprofit sector, Beth has extensive experience in strategic planning, fundraising, business development, communications, and donor cultivation and stewardship. Throughout her career, her passion has centered on making meaningful connections for individuals and organizations.
Prior to joining Share the Magic Foundation, she served as Vice President, Corporate Partnerships with Points of Light, the largest volunteer service organization in the world. Ms. Pann has also held leadership development positions with the National Society of High School Scholars, Usher’s New Look Foundation, The Woodruff Arts Center, as well as two organizations serving severely abused children and teens – The Bridge and Rainbow House Emergency Shelter for Children – in Atlanta, Georgia. Her career in the nonprofit sector began with the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation and the Choral Arts Society of Washington in Washington, D.C.
A lifelong volunteer, Ms. Pann serves on the Board of Directors of Development in Gardening and the Advisory Board of No Bully. She graduated from Denison University with a degree in Art History and has an endless passion for kids, reading, sports and the arts.
Anne Sapp: Director, Read with Malcolm Programs
Anne Sapp currently serves as the Director of Read with Malcolm Programs. Anne grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended the University of Georgia where she obtained both her Bachelor of Science degree and law degree. Anne is the founder of Anne W. Sapp, P.C. where she served as a Special Assistant Georgia State Attorney General, representing the Department of Transportation in Specialized Litigation – Eminent Domain. Anne is the past chairman of the Eminent Domain Section for the State Bar of Georgia and received the 2011 Charles N. Purlsey Award for outstanding contributions to the State of Georgia in Eminent Domain. Anne has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the area of Eminent Domain, 2011 Lawyer of the Year, and founding member and Vice Chairman of the Constitutional Law section for the state bar of Georgia.
In addition to her legal service, Anne currently serves as a Trustee and Chairman of the Georgia 4-H Foundation, Vice Chairman of Usher’s New Look Foundation, and as a volunteer for the Joseph Sams School, a school serving children with special needs. Ms. Sapp has chaired annual events including High Arts Day benefiting the High Museum of Art; the Ray of Hope benefiting The Bridge, a residential care facility for abused teens; and the Georgia 4-H Foundation Gala. Dave Sapp: Chief Financial Officer
Dave Sapp currently oversees the finances and operations of Read with Malcolm and Share the Magic Foundation. Dave was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dave received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Delaware and his Master of Science in Finance from Georgia State University. Dave is Deputy Chief Credit Officer Wells Fargo Capital Finance based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dave has always had a passion for underserved children. He currently serves as Treasurer of the Board of Directors at The Joseph Sams School as well as serving on the Board of Trustees for the Marcus Autism Center. Dave is a mentor with Usher’s New Look Foundation and past Chairman of the Board of Directors for The Bridge, a residential care facility for abused teens. firstname.lastname@example.org
John Zoccola: Director of Social Media and Marketing
John Zoccola brings more a decade of media relations and corporate communications experience to organizations in a variety of industries including education, nonprofit, healthcare, government and technology. John applies key insights and knowledge of each marketplace, ensuring that his clients’ brands are represented positively in the media and positioned as thought leaders in their sectors.
In addition to traditional media relations outreach, John provides counsel to clients on the best ways to maximize brand awareness through social media channels as well as by cultivating and creating brand advocates, organization fans and company spokespeople.
In addition to Read with Malcolm, John also currently serves as PR Consultant for The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) - the nation’s leading resource for palliative care development and growth. As a national, member-based organization, CAPC provides hospitals, health systems, hospices, payers and other healthcare organizations with the tools, training, technical assistance, and metrics needed to support the successful implementation and integration of palliative care. CAPC is supported by foundations, private philanthropy, and membership. CAPC is affiliated with the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City
John also supports non-profit clients and several pro bono causes that assist those with disabilities, whether neurological or physical. He advises school districts, institutions and city/state governments, on the best way to accommodate students and individuals who “learn differently.” John is a trusted advisor to clients, often on “inside information,” as private groups and public organizations alike have full faith in him to represent them in the best way possible in the press and in the community. Yvette Tolson: Administrative Assistant
Yvette Bennett Tolson is the Administrative Assistant for Read with Malcolm and Share the Magic Foundation. Yvette grew up in Zebulon, Georgia, and is a graduate of Georgia State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Real Estate. Throughout her career, Yvette has held administrative assistant positions in both the real estate and legal fields. Currently, she is employed with the appraisal firm Carr, Rahn, & Associates, Inc. as an Administrative Assistant. Jeff McClure: Read with Malcolm Magician
Jeff, "The Magical Mr. McClure" is one of the Read Team's magicians. As a kid, Jeff understood the importance of reading as he learned magic tricks from books in his elementary school library. Now a full-time, career magician, Jeff brings an element of magic to school programs, libraries and more! John Logan: Read with Malcolm Magician
John Logan, is one of the Read Team's magicians. John is the official team magician for the New England Patriots and host of Magic Moments, a web series with different Patriots players. A career magician, John was featured on America's Got Talent, and has authored two books, "The Perfect Illusion: Life" and "The Magic Behind Success." A recent addition to the Read with Malcolm Read Team in the New England area, John brings his magic to the Reading Rally school program.
